Hans Bol, influenced by earlier landscape etchings after Breughel, was one of the principle artists who established the landscape print-making tradition found in the following century of Dutch and Flemish art. This tradition was widened with the etchings of Londerseel and others. Eventually this tradition achieved its heights in the landscape etchings and drypoints of Rembrandt.
