Despina Stokou Prints

Despina Stokou was born in Athens, Greece in 1978 where she earned her first college level degrees in 2002. Choosing Berlin for her post-graduate studies at the University of Fine Arts, she has now migrated to Los Angeles where she maintains her studio. The past three years have shown a remarkable rise in exhibition exposure with shows across Europe, New York and Los Angeles. A recent emoji-riddled painting by Stokou from a group of works exhibited at Eigen+Art in Berlin last summer, was included in “This is Not a Connection,” the inaugural show at the Cirrus Gallery’s S. Santa Fe Avenue space opening last fall.
