Jamie Reid Biography

Jamie Reid (1947–) is British artist and anarchist. His works, consisting of letters cut from newspapers in the style of a ransom note, are considered part of the defining imagine of British Punk Rock. He is most famous for his Iconic cover of the Sex Pistols album ‘Never Mind the Bollocks, Here’s the Sex Pistols’, as well as the controversial single cover ‘God Save The Queen’ that features Queen Elizabeth II with a safety pin through her nose and swastikas in her eyes.

He is involved in political activism, campaigning on issues including Poll Tax, Clause 28 and the Criminal Justice Bill.
