Printing Light

A guest curated exhibition from the Whitechapel Gallery, London

Drawing from the final Contemporary Art Society collaboration with Whitechapel Gallery, ‘Twixt Two Worlds’, we chose nine artworks relating to light and illumination. The exhibition is about the history of photography and moving image, featuring artefacts from the late 19th century, and includes pieces by William Friese-Greene and Eadweard Muybridge. Saskia Olde Wolbers’ ‘Pareidolia’ is a more contemporary feature of the show and we lead with a still from this film.
