Chris Johanson works extensively in painting, drawing, and sculpture to create tuned-in portrayals of the world whose insights ring loud and clear. He combines text-and-image to allude to the human need for balance and harmony and point out the positive and negative aspects of city life. His work is included in the permanent collections of the San Francisco Museum of Art, The Whitney Museum of American Art, and the Museum of Modern Art, NY among others.
