Henry Jabbour Biography

Born in Beirut, Henry Jabbours work has taken him to many locations: New Zealand, London, Edinburgh, Sydney and New York have all featured heavily in his artistic life. Now settled in Cambridge, Henry pursues his calling having begun painting full time in 2010 leaving behind a successful career as a medical scientist.

An Impressive resume of gallery shows indicate a popular artist with a driven focus. Henry’s work takes on the human form, to him his paintings are a collaboration between the viewer and artist. Henry explains it best in an interview in 2017 with Art Zones Deborah Blakely-

“I am not looking to represent specific people but rather universal being. I want the viewer to be able to identify with my paintings at a personal level and to connect with them emotionally. I want my work to have a visual presence that is independent of me so that the viewer can continue the creative journey that I have initiated, with their own thoughts and emotions.”

Henry produces in many mediums but his time is evenly split between painting and printmaking. His body of printed works are of breathtaking quality.
