Lizzy Bougatsos (American, b. 1974)
An underground art, music, and fashion icon, Lizzi is the lady who does it all. She is also the lead singer for the band “Gang Gang Dance”, the band performing at the Whitney Museum at the biennial. Lizzi is the girl of the moment but with talent to last, she was recently interviewed by publications such as The Village Voice and Paper Magazine, and in 2010 was commissioned by the Guggenheim Museum Young Collectors Council.
For the last decade she has found herself on stage, whether at clubs, galleries, or in people’s homes, she is a key artist that has left her mark on 21st century NYC.
