Published in 1972 and created as part of a ten print portfolio, Mao #97 is a color screenprint by Andy Warhol that is hand-signed in pen and numbered (with a rubber stamp), verso, measuring 36 x 36 in. (91.4 x 91.4 cm.), unframed. From the edition of 250 plus 50 artist proofs, it is designated as F.S. II:91 in the artist’s catalogue raisonne.
