From unarguably the most collectible portfolio of signed prints created by Andy Warhol, Marilyn 28 is one of ten individual screenprints of the iconic star from the Marilyn Monroe portfolio created by the artist in 1967. Signed in pencil, and numbered with a rubber stamp, verso, the artwork measures 36 x 36 in. (91.4 x 91.4 cm), unframed. From the edition of 250, this portfolio was published by Factory Editions and is designated as FS.II.29 in the artist’s catalogue raisonne.
