Banksy was the first UK graffiti artist to successfully straddle the divide between street and fine art. Having initially built his reputation on a series of high profile public stunts, such as installing his own painting into the Tate Museum, Banksy has become a worldwide phenomenon and the leader of the street art movement. Hase started making editioned prints in 2002 and created over 50 in an 8 year period. His wit, humour and message have connected with a large international audience and he has become one of the hottest and most important living contemporary artists in the world. The artist returned to the "Sale Ends" image in 2017 to mark the closure of Pictures on Wall (the image was originally produced for the LA exhibition Barely Legal in 2006). The image was re-worked by Banksy and sold as a signed edition of 500 (signed and numbered on the front). This print is sold unframed and in perfect condition. As Pest Control will not be issuing a COA for this print until January 2019, it is sold without the COA but with the guarantee that one will be applied for in January 2019 and sent to the new buyer on receipt.
