Don Gorvett is an American artist and printmaker. Don’s main instincts are that of a painter. Because of his love for drawing and color, he has concentrated his efforts in the graphic medium of woodcut. His subjects center on the architectural and maritime activities of New England seafaring cities, and explores how memory is used to link the present and past.

A second look at the reduction woodcut “Gloucester Reveries,” revisiting the homage to Gloucester Massachusett’s historic fishing industry and iconographic waterfront architecture with a brighter color pallet.

The woodblock for this print is available for purchase.
