ONE OF ONLY 25 NUMBERED COPIES ON IMPERIAL JAPAN PAPER (only these copies have the etching in two states). AN OUTSTANDING ASSOCIATION COPY, with a signed inscription from the author ro Paul Richer (1849-1933), eminent anatomist, physiologist, and sculptor. Squarish 12mo. Entirely uncut in original wraps. Light wear to wraps, otherwise FINE AND BRIGHT, with the two etchings in perfect condition. A pristine copy of a rare and important book.
