Original lithograph in colours. 1948. Signed in pencil. Numbered (62) from the edition of 75. Drawn and printed by Leger at the Atelier Mourlot, Paris 1948. Edition issued by the Galerie Leiris, Paris 1948. Ref: Saphire - Fernand Leger The Graphic Work no 19. Provenance: Scandinavian Private Collection. Note: Leger drew this lithograph in 1948 at Mourlot’s Paris lithography studio. It was at this period, after the War, that Picasso was also spending much of his time at the same studio, working on his lithographs. It is interesting to speculate on the inter-influence of the two artists on their handling of the medium. Excellent impression with very fresh colours. On pale cream wove Arches paper. Excellent original condition; trace of old mounting tape at the top sheet edge verso. Full margins. Sheet: 500 x 653 mm. Image: 360 x 503 mm.
