Additional Information: This pastel is hand signed by the artist “G. Severini” in the centre of the lower image.
It is also hand titled in pencil by the artist “Le violon”, verso.
The pastel was painted in 1949.
There is a partial sketch in pencil and pastel, verso.

The work is accompanied by a photo-certificate of authenticity by Romana Severini Brunori dated on 31/03/2018. This recently re-discovered study will also be included in the revised and updated catalogue raisonné of Severini published previously by Mondadori in 1988.
