Original lithograph in colours. 1982. Signed in pencil. Numbered from the issued edition of 50. There was also a further of XXV (35) impressions sold separately, and 10 artist’s proofs. Total edition of 95. Edition printed at the Curwen Studio, London 1983. Published for the Henry Moore Foundation and Visconti Gallery, Vienna 1983. Note: In the 1980’s Moore drew a small number of larger scale compositions in lithography. The two studies of a ‘Reclining Mother and Child’ - this one with a blue background and a grey background companion - show how the broader scale of the large format allowed him to fully develop the sculptural qualities of one of his most important themes. Ref: Cramer - Henry Moore Graphic Work no 654. Excellent fresh colour. On pale cream wove T.H.Saunders paper. Exceptionally fine condition. Drawn to the full sheet size, as issued. Sheet: 544 x 750mm.
