An original signed screenprint on Schollers Hammer Board paper by German-American artist Josef Albers (1888-1976) titled “SP IV”, 1967. Hand pencil signed and dated by Albers lower right, titled and numbered lower left. Limited edition: 63/125. Comes from the 1967 “SP” portfolio, a suite of 12 screenprints. Printed and published by Editions Domberger, Stuttgart, Germany for Galerie der Spiegel, Cologne, Germany. Reference: Catalogue Raisonné: “The Prints of Josef Albers” by Danilowitz No. 175.4, page 121. Provenance: private collection – Paris, France. Recently framed – museum mounted within a contemporary maple wood moulding and 100% cotton rag mats from Holland. All archival. Framed size: 29.75″ x 29.75″. Sheet size: 24.25″ x 24.25″.
