Keith Haring’s art and life typified youthful exuberance and fearlessness. While seemingly playful and transparent, Haring dealt with weighty subjects such as death, sex and war, enabling subtle and multiple interpretations. The artist created his Statue of Liberty, an original screenprint, at the height of his creative powers in 1986. The artwork is hand-signed, dated and numbered, and measures 37 ½ x 28 ¼ in. (95.3 x 71.8 cm), unframed, and is a numbered artist proof from the edition of 25.
