Robert Indiana’s “LOVE” began as a simple Christmas card design for friends and has slowly become one of the most recognizable images in the art world. His technique is bold and visually stimulating, elevating simple text and colloquialisms in order to merge the personal and the public, the visual and the verbal.
For sale is a miniature of the LOVE sculptures, as published by the Indianapolis Museum of Art, Indiana. Although some will come with the stamp (2009 onwards), those published prior to 2009 will not have the stamp. They typically come with the original box and insert card from the IMA (please contact the gallery for details).
