An original offset-lithograph, exhibition poster on heavy smooth wove paper after American artist Roy Lichtenstein (1923-1997) titled “High & Low. Modern Art and Popular Culture (MoMA)”, 1990. Edition size unknown, presumed small. Printer unknown, designed and published by The Museum of Modern Art in New York, NY. Poster produced for a special exhibition at The Museum of Modern Art from October 7, 1990 – January 15, 1991. The image featured on this poster is Lichtenstein’s 1963, 80″ x 68″ oil and magna on canvas painting “Okay, Hot-Shot” which is within the personal collection of Mr. and Mrs. S. I. Newhouse, Jr.. Reference: Prestel Catalogue Raisonne: “Lichtenstein Posters” (Doering, Von der Osten) – No. 150, pg. 137. Poster is dry-mounted to foam-board and recently framed in a contemporary black moulding. Framed size: 41″ x 23″. Sheet size: 39.25” x 21.13”. In excellent condition. This is a particularly scarce Lichtenstein poster. Very rare.
