An original etching on Arches laid paper after Swiss artist Sigmund Freudenberger (1745-1801) titled “L’Horoscope Réalisé”, 1879. Edition size unknown, presumed small. Engraved by French artist Félix Augustin Milius (1843-1894). Printed by E. Delarue and published by L’Art both in Paris, France. Arches watermark upper left. Reference: “Les Graveurs du dix-neuvième siècle” – Vol. X, page 62; Beraldi – 1885-92. There is an example of this very piece in the permanent collection of the British Museum in London, UK. Recently matted in 100% cotton rag matting from Holland. Matted size: 17″ x 19.25″. Sheet size: 12″ x 17″. Image size: 7.88″ x 10.5″. Some light undulation and toning to paper associated with age. Mat stain from previous framing, (now covered by new matting). It is otherwise a strong impression in good condition.
