Tamara de Lempicka’s art captures the elegance, sensuality and modern spirit of Art Deco. Translating Lempicka’s painted compositions into the medium of screenprinting, these editions convey the rich colour and sharply defined forms characteristic of her imagery.
Serigraphy is a meticulous printing process in which colours are applied through separate screens in successive layers. Each impression is hand-pulled using water-based inks on 100% acid-free archival museum board. This layered method gives the image a distinctive material presence, particularly suited to Lempicka’s bold contrasts and carefully modelled surfaces.
The accompanying certificate of authenticity bears the Tamara de Lempicka Estate crest and the signature of her daughter, Baroness Kizette de Lempicka.
