Amongst her most notable works, Tracey Emin’s neons are particularly poignant for their inherent contradictions. Her deeply affected pieces reflect the humour and incredulity of blunt expression, while conveying the trauma of personal experience. They present insight into that which is private with poetic humor and unabashed self-reflection.
In 2014, the artist started creating a series of limited edition offset lithographs inspired by her known neon works, including this one featured from 2016. This will be sent in the original Emin International tube, as issued. It has not been handled to preserve the condition.
