In the 1930’s under the guidance of Fernand Mourlot, the Atelier Mourlot in Paris established itself as the most important lithographic studio of the 20th century. Over the course of more than 50 years many of the greatest artists of the time came to work at the studio including Picasso, Matisse, Chagall, Cocteau, Miro and Le Corbusier.

A large element of the Atelier Mourlot was dedicated to the production of limited edition Exhibition Posters. Often promoting the artists who were working in the studio on creative projects, these posters frequently became collaborations between the artists themselves and the studio, raising the art form of the poster to new technical and artistic heights.

This exhibition includes a collection of Vintage Exhibition Posters which come directly from the Atelier Mourlot archive. Never previously mounted or framed they survive as remarkable examples of these ephemeral works.
