Bert Stern Prints
Betram Stern (1929--) is an American photographer born in Brooklyn, New York.
His first job was as an office hand in the magazine 'Look', he then worked as the Art Director for 'Mayfair'. On his return from the Korean war Stern was given the contract for an advertisement photo for Smurnoff Vodka by Bramson.
In 1954 he worked as an editor for Fashion & Travel magzine, but soon left this to concentrate on his rapidly growing career in advertisement photography.
Bert Stern is widely known for the pictures he took on a three-day shoot of Marilyn Monroe, the last sitting she undertook before her death.
