Born in London in the late 1960’s, Danny Rolph studied at the Winchester College of Art, before completing an MA at the Royal College. He described his style as constantly changing, influenced by all aspects of life, he takes inspiration from the fast moving environment around him. Rolph is internationally renowned for his varying use of surfaces and multilayered Triplewall and canvas paintings. His paintings have a language to them, a syntax which communicates with the modern world he takes influence from. Danny Rolph has work held in Tate Britain, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and various other notable art collections. He continues to live and work in London.
