Liliana Porter is an Argentinian-born contemporary artist who works in various forms of media. She is known for her work in video, installation art, printmaking, photography, and mixed media. Her inspirations include the Arte Povera group, the Guerrilla Girls, and Roy Lichtenstein among many others. Liliana Porter studied at the Universidad Ibero Americana, which is located in Mexico City, Mexico, followed by training at the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes, which is located in the artist’s homeland of Argentina. The educator co-founded the New York Graphic Workshop following her move to NYC (1964).
