Michael Brick Prints

Michael Brick is a teacher and artist born in 1946. He studied at Newcastle University and later taught there in the School of Arts and Cultures. Inspired by artists like Jasper Johns, Donald Judd and Domenico Veneziano, Michael’s labour-intensive work comprises paintings and prints with minimalist influence that attempt to unify multiple threads.

Now living and working in Cambridge, he has exhibited around the world in venues like The Serpentine Gallery in London, The Hall of Artists in Moscow, the Bergen Kunstfonning in Norway, the Hatton Gallery in Atlanta, Georgia, and Centrum Beeldende Kunst in Holland.

His The size of what I see exhibition at the Broadbent Gallery in 2006 was listed as one of the best shows in London. Examples of his work are included in The British Council Collection, The Arts Council Collection, The Laing Art Gallery, The Victoria & Albert Museum and many other public and corporate collections.
