William Crozier was born in Glasgow and has been an Irish citizen since 1972. He studied at the Glasgow School of Art from 1949-53 and since then has lived and worked in London, Paris, Dublin and southern Spain. He began his professional life exhibiting in London in the 1950s and since then has exhibited widely throughout Europe. He taught in UK art schools, and was Head of Fine Art at Winchester School of Art. His work is represented in most major public and corporate collections in Ireland and the UK. He is a member of Aosd‡na and an honorary member of the RHA. He works from studios in West Cork and Hampshire, England. In 2007 a monograph, William Crozier, was published by Lund Humphries.
