Clément Clausse Biography

Clausse explores themes of memory, intimacy, and the uncanny, transforming familiar imagery into poetic visual narratives. His work blends delicate detail with cinematic tension, guiding viewers through fragmented moments that feel both nostalgic and enigmatic. Recently honored with a special mention for his artist book I Wanna Ruin Our Friendship and featured in exhibitions across France, Clausse was selected for the prestigious Arles Drawing Salon, 2025. His practice is enriched by international experiences, including a residency in Scotland with the Pernon Group, and he has received notable commissions, further establishing his unique voice in contemporary printmaking and drawing.

Clausse graduated at the École Estienne with a DMA in Illustration, and from the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs de Paris. He currently lives and works in Paris.
