About the art of Jörn Stoya

Jörn Stoya does not work with oil or acrylic paint, but with pure pigments without binders. For Stoya, color is the soul of painting, a paradisiacal state, the epitome of freedom and immateriality. Strong colors are at the heart of Jörn Stoya’s painting – he uses them to create a clear pictorial structure with tremendous color power.
The unicums and serial unique pieces

Jörn Stoya’s works on paper are always unicums or serial unique pieces. The unicums are one-offs, and the serial unique pieces are works that the artist also creates freely by hand, always with the same colors, the same composition, but with slight differences in each work.
