French illustrator, draftsman humorist and poster artist. Son of Elie Anatole Pavil (Ukrainian-born painter who worked and settled in Paris). Between 1929-1945 he illustrated several books. He also worked as illustrator for many newspapers: Baionnette, Cinémonde, Fantasio, Rustle, Paris Midday, Paris Evening.
He exhibited at Nationale des Beaux Arts in 1939 and again in 1941. He also exhibited at Chez Roger in Marseille. His oils and watercolours depicted scenes of French life in the 1920s and 1930s including scenes of nightclubs, circus, dancers and singers.
