Description :Stay Gold (2017) brings together the minimalist, manga-inspired portraiture of KYNE with the expressive, gestural abstraction of Meguru Yamaguchi. Produced in a limited edition of 100, this silkscreen captures the dynamic meeting of two distinct artistic languages: KYNE’s sharp, graphic depiction of a young woman and Yamaguchi’s explosive, painterly overlays.
The collaboration originated from the artists’ encounter in the Bronx in 2015, merging Japanese street aesthetics with the energy of New York’s contemporary art scene. Signed by both artists on the reverse, this piece embodies the cultural dialogue between restraint and exuberance, precision and chaos.
