Hutchinson Modern & Contemporary was established in 2020 in New York City's Upper East Side, specializing in art of the Americas, with a focus on Latin American, Caribbean, and Latinx artists, as well as their respective diaspora. Our gallery’s program seeks to foster cross-generational and cross-geographic dialogues and connections within the field of art history, through the support, representation, and study of artists across all stages of their career.
HM&C’s exhibitions have been covered by The Brooklyn Rail, Hyperallergic, Wall Street Journal, and ArtNexus, among others. Our artists have been the subject of numerous monographs, journal papers, and research essays. Works from our artists are held in the collections of institutions worldwide such as the Museum of Modern Art, New York; The National Gallery of Art, D.C.; Museo Moderno (MAMBA), Buenos Aires; The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York; The Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; The Museum of Fine Art, Houston; Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Puerto Rico, San Juan; The San Francisco Museum of Art; Victoria and Albert Museum, London; The Philadelphia Museum of Art; and the Pérez Art Museum Miami, among others.
