Klosterfelde Edition was originally founded by Helga Maria Klosterfelde in Hamburg in 1990 and remains one of the leading names in the production of limited editions and multiples. Publishing a variety of different medias, from silkscreen and other printing techniques to drawing and sculpture, the close collaborations with emerging and established international artists play an important role in the gallery's approach. Among these mostly concept-oriented artists are Hanne Darboven, Cécile B. Evans, Matt Mullican, Yuri Pattison, Rirkrit Tiravanija, Rosemarie Trockel, Jorinde Voigt, Lawrence Weiner and many more. Taken over by the son Alfons Klosterfelde in 2010, the main exhibition space today is located in an old stationary shop at Potsdamer Straße in Berlin.
The gallery regularly participates in international art fairs like Art Basel fairs, Gallery Weekend Berlin or Art Cologne fairs, amongst others. Over the last 30 years Klosterfelde Edition has made successful contributions to private and public collections, such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Baltimore Museum of Art, Princeton University, Museum Ludwig Köln, Graphische Sammlung München and Sammlung Falckenberg in Hamburg.
