Atelier le Grand Village

Atelier le Grand Village, is situated in the Charente-Limousine, France where artists come to work and revive the art of stone lithography. Artists enjoy working at the Atelier, collaborating, sharing and exploring diverse techniques from the rich experiences encountered here. All works are handmade stone lithographs using French presses dating from the 1860s. Other techniques are also integrated using monotype, lino gravure and photo plate lithography. The stone lithography process is the favoured technique at the Atelier as it respects most the quality and sensitivity of the artist’s drawing. The studio has worked with artists from many countries around the world including France, Bulgaria, South Africa, Kenya, Japan and the United States All printworks produced at the studio are registered with the Bibliothèque Nationale de France.

Austin / Desmond Fine Art

Founded in 1979, Austin/Desmond Fine Art initially operated from stables near Ascot, opening their first gallery in 1986 at Sunninghill. Austin/Desmond moved to its current location in Bloomsbury in 1988.

The gallery’s primary focus over the past 30 years has been in Modern British art, promoting and exhibiting aspects of a genre that had become neglected and unfashionable. Our exhibitions and catalogues have mirrored a gradual reassessment of this period, making it an attractive option for new and more experienced collectors alike.

These prints are original works of art, almost always meticulously hand-printed by the artist themselves. Editions are strictly limited.

While styles vary from traditional Japanese scenes to the abstract, all have in common the originality and technical excellence of their work based on the disciplines of this Japanese art.
