Creatures in Art for 2014 – Guest Curated On-line Print Exhibition

We are delighted to have Emanuel von Baeyer-Cabinet (IFPDA) as guest curator.

“The theme of this online exhibition – Creatures in Art for 2014 – came about through browsing the extensive and diverse range of works that the Printed Editions website has to offer. As we surveyed the wide variety of images, it struck us that artists have always turned to animals for a wealth of representational material. Prints, drawings and photographs are media which provide enormous scope for experimentation – form, colour, and even subjects may be manipulated to create new and inventive depictions of a wide variety of creatures. We selected our choices purely on the basis of the images we looked at, rather than artists’ names – it was enormous fun to be inspired by such eclectic pieces and the excitement of the new year”.
