Byron Gálvez (1941–2009) was a celebrated Mexican artist born in Mixquiahuala, Hidalgo, México. Raised in a culturally rich environment, he moved to Mexico City at age 16 to study at the prestigious Academy of San Carlos, where he trained under renowned artists including Antonio Rodríguez Luna, Francisco Moreno Capdevila, Luis Nishizawa, Santos Balmori, and Antonio Ramírez.
