About the Artist: Claudio Simonetti (b. 1929) is an Italian artist celebrated for his refined technique and deep connection to classical artistic traditions. He was born in Italy into a well known family of accomplished artists. He began his studies at the School of Art and, as a young man, traveled extensively throughout Italy and France, where he painted from nature and learned from other artists at all the important art centers. These early experiences shaped his disciplined approach and lifelong commitment to mastering the essentials of fine art.
His work is well known for brilliant execution of the fundamentals—exquisite drawing, composition and color—which together create pieces that feel both timeless and vividly expressive. Over the course of his career, Simonetti has built an international reputation, with his paintings regularly exhibited in Venice, Milan, Paris and New York, where they continue to attract collectors and admirers of traditional European artistry.
