Anders Zorn (1860-1920), At the Piano, etching, 1900, signed in pencil lower right. Reference: Asplund 160, Hjert and Hjert 108, second state (of 2), from the edition of 60-70. Printed on an ivory laid paper, in very good condition (some repaired tears, loss at bottom edge), 7 7/8 x 5 3/4, the sheet 14 3/4 x 11 3/4 inches. A fine delicately printed impression. The sitter is Mrs. Anna Burnett Hardin; the plate was made at the home of Charles Deering, an industrialist and patron of Zorn’s, in Evanston, Illinois. Two pencil drawings are in the Zornmusset and another in the Art Institute of Chicago.
