By Cecily Brown

Cecily Brown is a British contemporary painter known for her expressive, sensual, and highly energetic paintings. Born in London in 1969, she later moved to New York, where she became associated with the Neo-Expressionist tradition. Her works often blur the boundary between abstraction and recognizable figures, using loose brushstrokes, rich colors, and layered imagery. Brown frequently explores themes of the human body, desire, sexuality, and movement.
