Christopher Richard Wynne Nevinson (1889-1946) was a British artist who gained prominence during World War I as one of Britain’s most important war artists. Initially influenced by Futurism and Cubism, he created dynamic, angular compositions that captured the mechanical nature of modern warfare. His most famous works include “La Mitrailleuse” (1915) and “Paths of Glory” (1917).
