Alberone A black and white etching of a of a tree with almost human qualities of form and energy. A masterful drawing with delicate and subtle line and beauty.

Eric Holzman lives and works in N.Y.C. He has an M.F.A. from Yale University, and has received a Guggenheim Fellowship, an N.E.A. Painting Grant, and a Tiffany Foundation Grant.  These tree prints are an extension of his paintings and his first most recent venture into etching. His paintings are included in the 2018 American Academy of Arts Invitational.

The Artist

Eric Holzman

Eric Holzman lives and works in N.Y.C. with his wife and son and teaches at The New York Studio School. He has an M.F.A. from Yale University, and has received a Guggenheim Fellowship, an N.E.A. Painting Grant , and a Tiffany Foundation Grant. Most of his imagery comes from summers spent painting outdoors in upstate New York. He is presently represented by Tibor D’Nagy Gallery. These tree prints are an extension of his paintings and his first most recent venture into etching.
