1906-1996. Photographer, painter and lecturerin art and photography. First visited St Ives in 1926 and then moved there permanently with his family at beginning of WWII. He photographed many of the artists in the St Ives area (some of which are at the National Portrait Gallery) and was a good friend of Peter Lanyon, Denis Mitchell and Hyman Segal.
