By Gilbert and George
Gilbert and George are a British artist duo known for their distinctive, provocative style. They became famous for presenting themselves as “living sculptures”, treating their everyday lives and appearances as part of their art. Their work often uses bold colors, grid-like compositions, text, and imagery to explore themes such as religion, sexuality, identity, urban life, and society. They are especially known for their large-scale photographic works and have had a major influence on contemporary British art.
