Bambi Alien crystallizes HR Giger’s ability to fuse innocence with unease. Standing on four elongated limbs, its smooth, oversized cranium set above a lean, ribbed torso, the creature appears at once delicate and menacing—a mutant fawn emerging from the artist’s biomechanical universe.

The carefully worked bronze surface moves between soft, polished highlights and deeper, patinated shadows that draw out every vertebra, tendon, and clawed foot. As one circles the piece, the figure shifts from animal to skeletal relic to embryonic alien, embodying the constant tension between the organic and the engineered that defines Giger’s practice.

A limited edition of 99, each Bambi Alien is cast in bronze, signed and numbered on the leg, offering collectors an intimate yet unmistakably iconic sculpture by one of the key visionaries of science-fiction imagery.

The Artist

HR Giger

HR Giger (1940-2014) developed a strong passion for the surreal and macabre as a child, and the need to express his powerful imagination drew him to the visual arts. Inspired by fantastic artists such as Gustav Meyrink, Jean Cocteau, Alfred Kubin, and H.P. Lovecraft, Giger’s paintings are typically in large formats, populated by strange bodies, wonderfully bizarre landscapes, and frightening creatures. This ‘biomechanics’ aesthetic, however, goes beyond art: it enters the realm of magic.
