The Estate of HR Giger and JRP|Editions are proud to present a new lithograph by the visionary Master of surrealism HR Giger.

Originally created in 1969 as a red and black silkscreen, the piece was born alongside Giger’s iconic Biomechanoid series, first published by Galerie Bruno Bischofberger.
Now reimagined in black and striking silver (inspired by the artist’s other prints of that period), this lithograph revives the intensity of the original with deep layered black tones and a mesmerizing silver finish to emphasize the complexity and surrealism of the composition. The intricate fusion of organic and mechanical elements is quintessentially HR Giger, and showcases his signature biomechanical style.

Produced in close collaboration with Carmen Giger and stamped by the HR Giger Estate, this exclusive limited-edition is a must-have for both keen collectors and new admirers of Giger’s powerful, otherworldly aesthetic.

The Artist

HR Giger

HR Giger (1940-2014) developed a strong passion for the surreal and macabre as a child, and the need to express his powerful imagination drew him to the visual arts. Inspired by fantastic artists such as Gustav Meyrink, Jean Cocteau, Alfred Kubin, and H.P. Lovecraft, Giger’s paintings are typically in large formats, populated by strange bodies, wonderfully bizarre landscapes, and frightening creatures. This ‘biomechanics’ aesthetic, however, goes beyond art: it enters the realm of magic.
