Conceived in 2002, Biomechanoid distills HR Giger’s unmistakable universe into a totemic bronze figure. Half-human, half-machine, this frontal torso fuses a sensual female anatomy with exoskeletal ribs, spinal plates, and cranial implants, epitomizing the “biomechanical” language that made Giger a cult figure in both cinema and contemporary art.

Cast in bronze with a richly nuanced patina that oscillates between warm gold and oxidized green, the sculpture reveals an extraordinary level of detail: from the layered vertebrae and armored bust to the elongated cranium and mask-like face. Elevated on a minimalist metal stand, the figure hovers between relic and apparition, like an artefact from a future archaeology.

Produced in a limited edition of 49, each work is signed and numbered on the base, offering collectors a rare opportunity to acquire a museum-quality bronze by one of the most influential visionaries of late-20th-century fantasy and sci-fi imagery.

The Artist

HR Giger

HR Giger (1940-2014) developed a strong passion for the surreal and macabre as a child, and the need to express his powerful imagination drew him to the visual arts. Inspired by fantastic artists such as Gustav Meyrink, Jean Cocteau, Alfred Kubin, and H.P. Lovecraft, Giger’s paintings are typically in large formats, populated by strange bodies, wonderfully bizarre landscapes, and frightening creatures. This ‘biomechanics’ aesthetic, however, goes beyond art: it enters the realm of magic.
