Monoprint/lithograph/collé and hand-painting
Gueorguieva adapted this complicated, spontaneous and highly individualized way of working to the collaborative environment of the printmaking studio. The subtle and nervous lines and shapes are achieved through an encyclopedic array of processes including direct gravure, spitbite aquatint, drypoint, woodcut, lithography and silkscreen, punctuated by delicate chine collé elements. The mixed media prints, while clearly linked to her painting, add another dimension to her artistic practice.
