Lionel LeMoine Fitzgerald (1890-1956) was an important interpreter of the Canadian prairies and the western urban landscape, painting and teaching in Winnipeg, Manitoba. From the early 1920’s Fitzgerald also took up drypoint and linocut, his some 100 prints reflecting his gift for elegant contour in particular.
