This landmark etching by Luis Jimenez was created at Flatbed Press in 1995 using three soft-ground copper matrices. Jimenz drew on Japan Okawara over the grounded copper on all three plates. The key plate was printed in black, and the other matrices printed in a custom mix brown and blue/gray.

Luis Jimenez was a sculptor and printmaker whose monumental, polychromed fiberglass sculptures dot the American landscape. Drawing upon the culture of Hispanics in America, he presented people of the barrios at work and at play. Sometimes controversial, his works were always honest and heartfelt portrayals of his rich heritage.
